FAQs
Who is eligible for the scholarship program?
The program is open to both new and returning students at Collingwood School of Dance. It is designed for families who face financial barriers to accessing dance education — typically those with a household income under $75,000, or those experiencing financial hardship such as job loss, medical expenses, or single-income support.
Do I need to provide proof of income?
Yes. To ensure the scholarships are awarded fairly, we require families to submit proof of household income for each adult in the household. Acceptable documents include a Notice of Assessment, CCB Statement, or OW/ODSP documentation.
How much of the tuition will the scholarship cover?
Scholarships range from 25% to 75% of annual tuition, depending on household income and other financial circumstances. The remaining balance can be paid monthly.
Is this scholarship renewable every year?
Scholarships are awarded for one full dance season (September to June). Families are welcome to reapply each season as needed.
What if I’m unsure if I qualify? Should I still apply?
Yes! If you believe financial barriers are preventing your child from accessing dance education, we encourage you to apply. Every application is reviewed individually and confidentially.
